You wouldn't know it to look at the website, but it has been a fruitful semester in piracy! It all began with the auditions and inductions of six brand-spanking-new pirates into the ranks of the crew. Their gorgeous faces, shapely bodies, passable singing voices and HILARIOUS accents made for a glorious Parents' Weekend concert. Other highlights of the semester included Examination pretending to be an antelope for the Barett's Privateers show, Violet dropping baby Jesus at the holiday organ concert, and approximately seventeen thousand pirate performances at charitable, religious, and academic gatherings, none of which had ANY idea what they had asked for. The semester ended with a spirited (though sparsely attended) round of elections in which a number of individual pirates once again pretended to take on responsibilities so that everyone would have to refer to them by funny titles. The high seas reek once again of the stench of impending academics, so it will not be long before ARRR!!! is convened again, ready to set sail on yet another semester of singing, looting, eating, drinking, cavorting, drinking, and just generally doing those things that make it so very special. Merry Nogsmas, and to all a good night.

This merely proves how we are doing the world a service.
From Fark comes this Photoshop contest: make pirate versions of everyday objects. We especially like the rollerblades, but also enjoy KaZaa, since it mixes pirating with, well, pirating. YARRR!!!
